Recently severe storms rolled through our city, resulting in downed trees and power lines, damaged homes and vehicles, and even the loss of life as a homeowner came in contact with a live wire while cleaning up storm debris in his yard. A co-worker’s car was badly damaged by a fallen tree on the parking lot where I work – a tree which barely missed my own, as the picture taken from inside my car attests. Fortunately for him, his car was insured.
There are some things in life even insurance won’t cover. Oddly enough, “acts of God” such as floods and hail damage are often disallowed when filing damage claims. But there is one act of God that ensures us a place of eternal protection, peace, and happiness in his presence. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16, NIV).
Have you insured yourself against a life of eternal separation from God, or are you covered by the shield of his salvation? Don’t miss out on a glorious eternity! Receive the free gift of Christ’s salvation and know for sure that your place in heaven is secure.
