Salvation Poem

How amazing the faithfulness you’ve shown, Lord, to me
You purchased my freedom; your death set me free.
I was bound and was shackled but in pow’r You stepped in
Set me free from my captors and redeemed me from sin.

You died as a substitute – in my place you stood.
Instead of me, You were condemned on that wood.
You provided redemption; paid the ransom I owed
Left me not poor and hopeless – rich mercy you bestowed.

You appeased all God’s justice; drank the cup of His wrath
Gave my life a new meaning; set me on a new path.
Cast away from God’s presence – you did that for me
To declare me forgiven. Yes, that was your plea.

Every ounce of sin judged, You decreed that I’m pure
Through the words “it is finished” my inheritance is sure.
Reconciled to the Father I’m welcomed as a son
Where once was division, atonement now is done.

In this life, I will follow the example you gave
And I’ll trust as you guide me for you give me the faith.
Your love guides each step throughout every day
I praise You for salvation, God of mercy and grace.
