1 “Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.”
I’m not the strongest swimmer. I sink like a rock. I get nervous and uncomfortable when I am in water that is over my head. I feel like I’ve lost control.
Sometimes in life we find ourselves in circumstances that we are over our head. It is a scary place to be in a situation where you are over your head. You have faith that there is going to be a rescuer to pull you out of the situation or that God is going to give you the strength to pull through. It is a terrifying place, for those of us who like control, to be where your only option is to have faith.
In this song David Crowder cries out,
“Send me a sign, a hint, a whisper. Throw me a line ’cause I am listening. Come break the quiet, breathe Your awakening. Bring me to light ’cause I am fading. Surround me with a rush of angel’s wings. Shine Your light so I can see You. Pull me up, I need to be near You. Hold me, I need to feel love. Can You overcome this high? Let’s overcome.”
When we find ourselves in these places we just need to lay back and let God wrap His arms around us and remind us that there’s hope. That He loves us and that He will pull us through the toughest circumstance we find ourselves in.
