Daily Devotional from June 15: Belief in Jesus (John 3:18)

The Bible tells us in John 3:18 that ” whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” This verse is a powerful reminder of the importance of faith. Just as we are saved by grace through faith, so also our continued belief is what keeps us saved. It is vital that we not only initially put our trust in Jesus Christ, but that we also continue to believe in him every day. Otherwise, we will stand condemned. Thankfully, though, we can take comfort in the fact that God is faithful and will never leave us or forsake us. Even when our faith is weak, he is there to strengthen us and help us to continue believing. So let us all strive to have stronger faith, knowing that it is only through continued belief in Jesus Christ that we can be saved.

This daily Bible verse is always a reminder of the loving heart of God. He did not come to this world to judge us or find fault with our actions. He came to our aid. He came to make the world right. That is a wonderful thing.

John 3:18 says, “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” This verse is often used to refer to the importance of faith in Jesus Christ. However, it is also important to understand the historical context in which this verse was written. In the first century, most people believed that their salvation depended on their own efforts. They believed that they had to earn their way into heaven by doing good works. However, John 3:18 teaches that our salvation depends on our faith in Jesus Christ. It is not about what we do, but about what he has already done for us. This verse is a powerful reminder that our salvation is a free gift from God, and it is available to anyone who believes in Jesus Christ.

June 15th Devotional Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for your love. Thank you that we do not need to earn your love or try to be good enough for you, because you love us just as we are. Thank you for sending Jesus to die for our sins so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life with you. Thank you that anyone who believes in Jesus will not perish but have everlasting life. Thank you that your perfect love drives out all fear. Help us to believe in Jesus so that we can have everlasting life with you. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Today’s Scripture Reflection for June 15

John 3:18 has always been a source of comfort and encouragement to me. As a Christian, I know that no matter what I do or how I fail, God will never condemn me. He loves me unconditionally and has forgiven all my sins. Because of His great love for me, I can always approach Him with confidence, knowing that He will meet me with open arms. These verses also remind me of the importance of sharing my faith with others. Just as God has shown me His love and grace, I want to show that same love and grace to others. I want them to know that they can also find forgiveness and hope in Christ.
